A learning collaborative from the Center for Global Development and Data2x is working to advance understanding and informed use of Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE)-related measures for research and action.
The WEE Measurement Learning Collaborative, launched in May 2021 by CGD and Data2X, convenes WEE experts across sectors to improve the quality and relevance of WEE measurement tools and indicators and advance understanding and informed use of WEE-related measures for research and action. The Learning Collaborative leverages the WEE measurement-related knowledge and expertise of its members around three objectives:
Exploring reliable, practical, and comparable WEE indicators for use in project results frameworks.
Proposing quality and transparency standards for WEE population monitoring tools
Creating a methodology for tracking developing finance institutions’ gender lens investing performance, building on CGD’s Gender Equity in Development Finance Survey
Understand emerging issues and trends in the field of gender data.
