Elizabeth Hedge

Director of Gender Data

Elizabeth Hedge serves as the Director of Gender Data at Data2X. She has a cross sectoral background in research, programming, and policy in the public and private sectors, specializing in qualitative, participatory research methods and gender-based violence prevention and response. With over 10 years of experience in primary, mixed-methods research and program management, she most recently led U.S. policy research projects at Penta Group to evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy strategies and identify best practices. Prior to this, Elizabeth worked at the Global Women’s Institute where she supported applied, program-based research in conflict and humanitarian settings, including studies on sexual exploitation and abuse, gender-based violence, and capacity building for more inclusive monitoring & evaluation. Elizabeth received a Master of Arts in International Affairs with concentrations in Global Gender Policy & Conflict from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Born in Hong Kong to New Zealand parents, she spent her childhood across Asia and the U.S. before landing in California for university.
