Take Action with Us on COP26 Gender Day

November 08, 2021

Help Us Raise the Profile of Gender Data’s Importance to Addressing Climate Change

On November 9, Data2X in partnership with EM2030, Open Data Watch, PARIS21 and Women Deliver will be using Gender Day to draw attention to the need for gender-responsive climate and environmental strategies grounded in gender data.

Taking effective climate action for women, girls and gender non-conforming people in all their intersecting identities worldwide requires us to understand the gendered impacts of climate change. But we can’t do this without gender data. And right now, important gender data on how girls, women and other marginalized communities experience climate change is missing. This Gender Day at COP26, the world must commit to financing, collecting, & using gender data to build smarter policies.
