Using the Data Playbook to improve data literacy

To support decision-making during disasters, data literacy is crucial for development and humanitarian practitioners. The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies developed the Data Playbook Beta, which is a compilation of examples, best practices, how to’s, session plans, training materials, and other resources. While the playbook is not heavily focused on gender data, having data literacy is crucial in understanding gender implications of disasters.
