Reviewing existing methods that measure women’s and girl’s economic empowerment
Development programs on women and girls’ economic empowerment should be reviewed in order to identify shortfalls. This academic journal presents findings from a review of 70 evaluations of development interventions which had direct or indirect impacts on the economic empowerment of women and girls. Recommendations from the article include the role of gender experts in all technical areas to improve evaluation design and data analysis.
