Improving gender data through the Living Standards Measurement Study program
In a follow-up to the LSMS+ Program, the Strengthening Gender Statistics project aims to improve the availability, quality, and use of gender data produced by national statistical systems in at least 10 IDA-eligible countries with ongoing or upcoming World Bank-financed statistical projects to help scale up the production and use of gender data on asset ownership, employment, and entrepreneurship in a sustainable way and technical assistance activities. This will complement the lessons learned from the LSMS+, the World Bank Women’s Work and Employment Partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the UN Women Count program.
