Developing a gender analysis tool for disaster settings
To understand the various needs and capacities of disaster-affected populations based on their gender, a mixed methods approach to a gender analysis tool could provide greater insights. A mixed-methods tool has been designed in Iran to understand the impacts of three earthquakes between 2012 and 2013. This type of tool can provide accurate data for post-disaster policies and programs from a gender-sensitive lens.
