Collecting data on gender-responsive budgeting

The collection and analysis of sex-disaggregated data is central to Gender-Responsive Budgeting (GRB) initiatives, which often involve an analysis of the impact of budgets or parts of budgets on different groups of women and men disaggregated by other variables such as income, race/ethnicity, sexuality, disability, and more. This methodology, developed by Oxfam, sets out the different types of data that would support GRB initiatives taken at different stages of the budget process. The methodology also provides local case studies.
