Collecting and using citizen generated data for gender-relevant SDG indicators

Civil society groups play an important role in monitoring the SDGs. Developed by UN Women, the Methodological Guidelines on using Citizen-generated Data (CGD) for reporting SDG 5 and gender-specific indicators in other SDGs fosters systematic and deliberate data compilation by civil society organizations and private sector engaged in the Gender and Economic Empowerment of Women programs.
