Closing the CRVS coverage gap by including marriages and divorce
Civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) cover data across major moments in time: births, deaths, marriages, divorces. Major initiatives across inter-governmental organizations and bilateral donors place emphasis on CRVS. However, these initiatives should also focus on CRVS from a gender lens, and to also include marriage and divorce registration to their initiatives– as these moments in life have greater data gaps.
