Bridging the digital gender divide by publishing more gender-relevant data

The gap in labor market participation is 26% for G20 economies. Data are critical in monitoring progress in the labor market and understanding the gender gap in innovation and entrepreneurship. To do so, the OECD recommends G20 to design and implement gender-related statistics in the collection and publication of periodical reports that are linked to targets on the digital gender divide. To showcase the importance of data, the report is supplemented with case studies where data filled the gap in sectors such as financial inclusion.
