Analyzing sex and gender differences in COVID-19 infections

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, more men have been dying of acute COVID-19 infections, while women are projected to suffer more than men from the health, economic, and social consequences of the pandemic. To close the gender gaps in infection response and pathogen reporting, sex and gender reporting should be considered and improved.
