Complete civil registration and vital statistics systems can benefit women and girls in many ways.

CRVS systems provide basic demographic and health information for countries, bridging the information gap between censuses. They provide identity confirmation for individuals and access to citizen rights and responsibilities, including entitlements (such as social security, health, and pension benefits), individual legal status, and voting rights.
